We are always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team, so if you have experience of working in education and are looking for a new opportunity, or if you would like to learn more about what it is like to work at the College, please view our current vacancies or come along to one of our Open Events to meet our HR team and find out about the range of opportunities available.
The College currently employs over 240 highly motivated and talented staff; we provide a diverse portfolio of education and training courses to over 3,500 full and part time students per year with a success rate of 84.9% - 1.5% above the national average. We have established ourselves as a high quality provider of education services within Berkshire and rank within the top 40% of Colleges across the country.
We are very proud to have achieved certification in the Training Quality Standard. Along with IiP, the Matrix award, and Action for Inclusion this award confirms the high standard and quality of training and development that we offer to the wider community and to business.
English and Mathematics volunteers are an important part of a learner’s journey to success at Newbury College. The Essential Skills team welcome volunteers to work in classes, under the guidance of a lecturer, or one-to-one with individual students.
You will work with adults and young people to help them improve their reading, writing, maths, or spoken English if it is their second language. Classes are held in the daytime or evening. If you are interested or would like further information, please contact a member of the Essential Skills team on 01635 845000.
