BTEC Higher National Diplomas provide a nationally-recognised qualification that offers career progression for those already in employment. The qualification is undertaken on a part-time, day-release basis over one year and is essentially a follow on from the HNC. The qualification provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required by the sector with national recognition by employers. It is the equivalent to the first year of a degree programme.
Students must have completed an HNC in an engineering discipline.
