Celebrate the Easter holiday with a day of perfecting Easter-themed baking skills. Create rich, homely food to take home and enjoy. Students are required to bring the following: Tupperware for food and apron, ingredients and special requirements will be discussed with students closer to the time of the workshop.

This workshop will cover:

  • Hot Cross Buns
  • Lamb en Croute
  • Easter Eggs

The workshop will begin with making and proving dough for traditional hot cross buns. We will be revisiting our buns throughout the workshop so that we have perfectly fluffy buns with a good rise. Also we will be melting our chocolate, at various intervals during the workshop, to the perfect temperature using thermometers for our large hollow Easter eggs.

Whilst the buns are proving and our chocolates are cooling down, we will prepare and bake our lamb en croute which will be baked so that lamb is cooked to your preference and the pastry is golden and crispy. Your buns will be baked, cooled and decorated with the cross and you will leave with three Easter delights to enjoy at home.
