Overview

Discover the skills and techniques required to create quality homemade pies to impress friends and family. Make and take home a show-stopping pie to enjoy.

This workshop will cover:

  • Hot Crust pastry from scratch
  • Meat or vegetable filling

Learning Outcomes:

  • Method and techniques of making hot crust pastry
  • Making a tasty filling
  • Tips on baking a pie
  • Creating a design for the pastry and crimping
  • Glazing and baking the pie.

*PLEASE NOTE- The running of this course is subject to receiving sufficient enrolment numbers. Newbury College reserve the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled students are notified approximately one week before the start date.

Students can progress onto a number of other cooking classes including: Quick and Simple Meals, Mexican Street Food, Bread Making and many more.

Fees and Additional Costs

The price below includes an additional £5 materials fee, which covers the cost of materials used during the session. Students will be required to purchase some of their own ingredients.
