This programme is delivered by distance learning and prospective students are encouraged to ensure they have enough time to complete all five units within the timeframe provided by their tutor (Usually 16 weeks).
Once students receive their learning materials, they are allowed a ten-day period to fully consider whether they wish to fully enrol on the programme. Until students have decided to fully engage with the programme, students should not write in the workbooks or submit work online for marking as this will result in a charge being made for the materials they have received.
Once students have confirmed that they wish to enrol onto the course they will need to submit their first unit within five weeks of receiving their learning materials / log in details, failure of this may result in withdrawal from the course.
Any withdrawal or cancellation after submission of the first piece of work will be liable for a charge of &poud;150.
You will be issued with an Induction Workbook during your first discussion with your tutor; this workbook will determine whether you are suitable for the course. Students are aged 19+ and have lived in the UK/EU for the last three years. A basic level of numeracy and literacy is required. It is important to note that a number of units in this qualification require students to consider information, advice or guidance provision in the context of their own organisation. If students are not working (in an employed or voluntary capacity) in this context then it may be difficult to evidence some of the assessment criteria.
