This workshop is designed for those who have never drawn before, but always wanted to. No previous experience or skills are required, this workshop can give anyone the confidence needed to draw.
This workshop is all about making marks on paper, letting go of any inhibitions and finding that varied inspiration and talent.
The workshop will include:
- Some simple and fun mark making exercises to get started
- Finding our inspiration
- Different pencils and tools for sketching and drawing
- Getting started and having a go
This fun and informal workshop is suitable for absolutely anyone; especially those who have always wanted to learn how to draw, but never had the confidence, or felt they were not good enough.
*PLEASE NOTE - This course running is subject to receiving sufficient enrolment numbers. Newbury College reserves the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled learners will be notified 3 days prior to the start of the course and are entitled to claim for a full refund of their course fees.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
This course does not lead to a formal qualification.
Assessment will take the form of tutor observation, group discussion and informal tutor and peer review.
Students do not need to be in relevant work to undertake this course.
Students can progress to any number of drawing, painting or art leisure or qualification courses held at Newbury College. The tutor will be able to advise the best path of progression for the individual.
Fees and Additional Costs
Students are required to pay a one-off materials fee of £5 which covers the cost of all the materials used for the session, including a sketch book which learners can take home to continue with their drawing.
