Door Supervision, HABC Award Level 2
Overview
Gain the knowledge and skills needed to face daily challenges in door supervision role. Learners will have the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification.The regulation of the private security industry in recent years has significantly raised standards of behaviour and reduced criminality within the sector.The Industry's regulator, the Security Industry Authority (SIA), requires an approved training qualification as part of the criteria for obtaining a licence to work in certain sectors of the industry.
These approved training qualifications have recently changed to reflect changes in the working environment, so that new security operatives are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to face daily challenges in the workplace. This course will give learners the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised level 2 qualification.
The following modules will be covered in the 4 day course:
- Common security
- Door Supervision
- Communication skills and conflict management
Progression
The level 2 qualification can open opportunities for employment and enable learners to apply for a licence with the Security Industry Authority (SIA).Assessment
Learners will need to take a written exam for each of the modules.Entry Requirements

No homework is required for this course, although learners will benefit from revising in preparation for the exams.Skills

No previous experience or relevant employment is required.Additional Costs
