HNC in Graphic Design

  • Description

    This one-year T Level Foundation programme is designed to deliver the underlying principles and technical skills required to participate in the T Level Management and Administration, T Level Digital Support Services or Level 3 Creative Media Production programmes.

    You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands, getting an overview of the principles of business, digital skills and creative media, as well as understanding the terminology used in these industries.

    You will initially work on learning skills required for these three areas, including:

    • Using specialist software to create digital content
    • Using digital and creative methods to promote business
    • Using business knowledge to organise and present work
  • Entry Requirements

    Five GCSE passes at grade 3 or above, to include Maths and English, or equivalent vocational qualification at merit grade, and Functional Skills Maths and English.

    A good level of digital skills in using Microsoft software such as Word and PowerPoint for written work is important. Some basic creative skills using creative software such as Adobe will be an advantage but this isnt essential.

    NCFE Level 2 Award in Digital Promotion for Business

  • Progression

    The primary aim of this programme is to prepare you for participation in the T Level Management and Administration, T Level Digital Support Services or Level 3 Creative Media Production programmes, an apprenticeship or an entry level position in business administration or digital support.

  • Assessment

    You will be assessed via coursework assignment and project outcomes.

  • Home Study

    You are expected to complete approximately 2 - 3 hours of self-study per week and take responsibility for your own independent learning and research.

  • Work Placement

    There are no mandatory requirements for industry placements during the foundation year, however, you will undertake meaningful work-related activity involving employers during your programme.
