Microsoft Excel 2007/2010 for Improvers
Overview
This course is aimed at learners with a basic understanding of the use and application of spreadsheets who would like to take their skills to the next level. This course will show learners, in a practical way, the advanced statistical and analysis features that will help in work and business. Learners will need to bring the following to class: USB stick, pen and paper to take notes (optional).The features covered by this course include: working with dates and times, using advanced formulas and functions, managing multiple worksheets, managing and analysing data using pivot tables and using advanced formatting techniques.
*PLEASE NOTE- This course running is subject to receiving a minimum of 6 enrolments. Newbury College reserve the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled learners will be notified 3 days prior to the start of the course and are entitled to claim for a full refund of their course fees.
Progression
Learners can progress to other ICT related courses. The tutor will be able to give advice on the correct path of progression for the individual.Assessment
No formal assessments are carried out on this course. Learners are informally assessed through exercises and tutor observation.Entry Requirements
Learners should have mastered the topics covered in the 'Microsoft Office 2007/2010 for Beginners' course.Qualifications

Learners should possess basic keyboard and mouse skills.Work Placement
