Human Resource Practice, CIPD Certificate
Overview
A course for those in personnel or human resources functions and covers topics relevant to HR and those involved in people management.This Level 3 course is the first step on the route to gaining qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, or is useful as a stand-alone course for those who deal with any aspect of people management.
The course consists of three core modules:
Developing yourself as an effective Human Resources or Learning & Development Practioner
Understanding organisations and the role of Human Resources
Recording and analysing and using Human Resources information
Plus an additional three option modules:
Supporting good practice in managing employment relations
Resourcing talent
Supporting good practice in performance and reward management.
Progression
The CIPD has a range of opportunities for progression to higher level courses, and a number of one-off qualifications suitable for those working in people management and development. Please refer to the CIPD website at www.cipd.co.uk.Assessment
There are no formal examinations. Students are assessed by the completion of assignments for each module and a work-based project. The project is presented at the end of the course.Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements for this course. A good understanding of English, both verbal and written, is an advantage. Access to HR procedures is also beneficial.Qualifications
CIPD Certificate in Human Resource PracticeHome Study
It is anticipated that some reading will be required. In addition, the completion of assessments is done outside of class time. Students should be prepared to allocate approximately six to ten hours a week of additional study time per week. Attendance at two Saturday workshops will be required throughout the year.Additional Costs
