Personal Fashion Styling Taster day

Overview

This one-day taster session is designed as an introduction to personal fashion styling, looking at different shapes, colours, fabrics, patterns, accessories and much more. Learners should bring a notepad and pen if they wish to take notes.

This session is designed to introduce learners to personal fashion styling. Over the course of the day we will look at different shapes and silhouettes, colours and matching colours to people, fabrics and fabric textures, prints, accessories, clothing collections, seasons and outfits.

This course is designed as a short taster course for learners who may be interested in taking the longer course, 'Personal Fashion Styling', or one of the other 4 week fashion design courses on offer; 'Brand Development and Retail', 'Textile and Clothing Manufacture', and 'The Business World in the World of Fashion'.

*PLEASE NOTE- This course running is subject to receiving a minimum of 6 enrolments. Newbury College reserve the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled learners will be notified 3 days prior to the start of the course and are entitled to claim for a full refund of their course fees.

Progression

Learners can progress onto the longer 'Personal Fashion Styling' course, or one of the other fashion design courses on offer.

Assessment

Informal assessment will be carried out through group discussion, observation and lecturer feedback.

This course does not lead to a formal qualification.
