The Business World in the World of Fashion Taster Day

Overview

This one day taster session is designed as an introduction to the business world in the world of fashion, looking at designers, fashion buyers, marketing and public relations, branding, celebrity endorsements and much more. Learners should bring a notepad and pen if they wish to take notes.

This session is designed to introduce learners to how some of the fashion businesses and companies work today. Over the course of the day we will look at the importance of qualified designers and fashion buyers, marketing and public relations, celebrity endorsements, branding and sales.

This course is designed as a short taster course for learners who may be interested in taking the longer course, 'The Business World in the World of Fashion', or one of the other 4 week fashion design courses on offer; 'Brand Development and Retail', 'Textile and Clothing Manufacture', and 'Personal Fashion Styling'.

*PLEASE NOTE- This course running is subject to receiving a minimum of 6 enrolments. Newbury College reserve the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled learners will be notified 3 days prior to the start of the course and are entitled to claim for a full refund of their course fees.
