OverviewDiscover the simple, but exciting process of lino printing to create a series of prints for cards, fine art or just for fun! Lots of demonstrations provided - no experience needed. Learners will need to bring the following to the workshop: empty yoghurt pots, empty jar, kitchen roll, an old dessert spoon, apron or old shirt, newspaper, sketchbook, photos, ideas, inspiring objects to work with, scrap paper (cartridge/ photocopy paper/ sketchbook) for test prints.
Over the duration of the workshop we will look at the process of producing a series of lino-prints from the first stage of designing and cutting of the plate, to inking and printing a basic image. There will also be time for experimentation with multicoloured inking and the use of collage to create exciting prints.
