Alexander Technique
Overview
Discover the hands on re-education system for the human body, designed for easing tensions, pain, and improving co-ordination and wellbeing. Learner should wear comfortable clothing to the class, as there will be some practical work.The course will cover the main principles of the Alexander Technique, the habits and how to become aware of what we do to ourselves in our everyday lives. The course will look at how we can move in the way we were designed to move and, in turn put less stress on our bodies.
*PLEASE NOTE- This course running is subject to receiving a minimum of 6 enrolments. Newbury College reserve the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled learners will be notified 3 days prior to the start of the course and are entitled to claim for a full refund of their course fees.
Progression
Learners can progress to other courses related to personal development.Assessment
There is no formal assessment but the lecturer will monitor learners throughout the course and there will be feedback from both peers and the lecturer.Entry Requirements
