OverviewA fun, exciting new course, aimed at learners who already possess a basic knowledge of cooking. Set up to run just like the television programme, each week learners will have to create dishes from a surprise bag of ingredients, within a certain time period. Each dish will then be judged and a winner declared! Learners will need to bring the following to class: an apron, container to take food home in, and tools they may wish to use.
This course is designed to run exactly like the television programme. Each week the tutor will provide a bag of basic ingredients and the learners will have to produce several dishes within a certain time period. The learners will have to explain to their peers and the tutor what they intend to cook with the ingredients provided, the tutor will then go through each dish to ensure the execution is clear to everyone. At the end of each session the dishes will then all be judged and a winner declared.
Over the duration of the course learners will discover new ingredients and different ways of cooking them, which will in turn will develop the learners creativity in cooking different dishes and widen their repertoire.
