Essential Italian for Your Holidays

Overview

This workshop is designed for learners wishing to learn some useful phrases for their Italian holiday or for those learners wishing to experience a 'taste' of the language. Suitable for complete beginners. Learners must bring the following to the workshop; pen/ pencil and notebook.

During this course you will learn some basic Italian to cover a number of everyday situations that you might encounter on holiday.
The following will be covered;

- Basic greetings
- Introductions
- Simple vocabulary to help you in a bar
- Simple vocabulary to help you in a restaurant
- Basic vocabulary to help you in your hotel
- General tourist scenarios/ situations.
- Learners requests.

*PLEASE NOTE- The running of this course is subject to receiving sufficient enrolment numbers. Newbury College reserve the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled learners will be notified 3 days prior to the start of the course and are entitled to claim for a full refund of their course fees.

Progression

Learners could progress onto the 'Italian for Beginners' course in the Autumn.

Assessment

Learners will be assessed through tutor observation and feedback.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Qualifications

This course does not lead to a formal qualification.

Skills

Learners should possess simple literacy skills, no experience in Italian is necessary though.

Work Placement

Learners do not need to be in relevant work to undertake this course.
