Wedding Bells: Table Arrangements for your Special Day
Overview
Are you getting married? Not sure where to go with the flowers or table arrangements? Then this course is for you! Create and design a mood board to help identity your wedding flower theme and discover how to create several different beautiful arrangements, perfect to impress on your big day! Learners will be required to bring the following to the session; vase, empty tin or jam jar (or container of choice, diameter of c.20cm) oasis, garden foliage and cuttings, scissors, apron, floristry tape (pot tape), long stemmed flowers of your choice. Optional: picture's of your wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses, venue, colour schemes etc.We will start the session with a brain storming session in the form of a mood board, to collate your ideas and to identify your themes and styles which will inspire your choice of table decoration for your big day. We will then move on to:
- Basic Knowledge of flower care
- How and what to buy (includes seasonal flowers)
- Tutor Demonstrations
- Basic practical session (includes 2 designs)
- Group and individual feedback
- Recap and main practical session
- Final feedback and Q&A
*PLEASE NOTE- The running of this course is subject to receiving sufficient enrolment numbers. Newbury College reserve the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled learners will be notified 3 days prior to the start of the course and are entitled to claim for a full refund of their course fees.
Progression
Learners can progress onto any number of other flower arranging workshops, or evening classes. The tutor will be able to give advice on the correct path of progression for the individual. Learners may be interested in the 'Flowers for Special Occasions' workshop, where they can learn to create corsages and buttonholes.Assessment
Learners will be assessed by tutor observation and one-to-one and group feedback and review.Entry Requirements

Work Placement
Learners do not need to be in relevant work to undertake this course.Additional Costs
