Learn How to Crochet
OverviewThis course aims to provide learners with basic skills needed to crochet confidently. Suitable for learners with little or no experience in crochet. Learners will need to bring the following to the workshop; pen, paper, crochet hook (recommended number 3), wool- recommended 4-ply yarn in a light colour of choice and knitting needles.
This course will aim to provide learners with basic skills needed to crochet confidently. Whether you have never before attempted to crochet, or whether you have forgotten how to, this workshop has something for everyone.
In the 3 hours we will attempt to cover the following;
- Getting started
- Double crochet
*PLEASE NOTE- This course running is subject to receiving a minimum of 6 enrolments. Newbury College reserve the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled learners will be notified 3 days prior to the start of the course and are entitled to claim for a full refund of their course fees.
ProgressionLearners may progress onto longer Crochet courses- your tutor will be able to advise on the best course for the individual.
AssessmentLearners will be assessed throughout the workshop by tutor observation and one-to-one and group feedback and support.
Entry RequirementsThere are no formal entry requirements for this course.
QualificationsThis course does not lead to a formal qualification.
SkillsThis is a beginners course, so no previous experience of crocheting needed.
Work PlacementLearners do not need to be in relevant work to undertake this course.
Additional CostsLearners will need to provide their own crochet hooks and wool/ yarn.
