Personal Fashion Styling
Overview
The aim of this course is for the learner to discover their own unique taste and styles, understand colours, fabrics, textures and prints and ultimately to create their own fashion collections. Suitable for learners of all levels and abilities. Learners should bring the following to class: A4 Plain paper/ notepad/ sketchbook, fashion magazines, A4 plastic portfolio.The aim of this course is for the learner to discover their own unique taste and styles. Over the duration of the course learners can expect to: identify different shapes and silhouettes, understand colours and colour wheels, cover fabric textures, prints and accessories, make alterations to their own wardrobe and re-vamp their own clothing to form mix and match collections for all seasons and occasions.
*PLEASE NOTE- This course running is subject to receiving a minimum of 6 enrolments. Newbury College reserve the right to close, cancel or postpone a course if it has not received the minimum required enrolment number by the scheduled start date. In the case of cancellation, enrolled learners will be notified 3 days prior to the start of the course and are entitled to claim for a full refund of their course fees.
Progression
Learners can progress to one or more of the other fashion related courses in the series; 'Brand Development and Retail', 'Textile and Clothing Manufacture', 'The Business World in the World of Fashion' and 'Fashion Design and Illustration'.Assessment
Progress on this course will be tested through observation, presentation and lecturer feedback.Entry Requirements
